Starting in the summer of 2005 Communities in Action for Peace’s has connected their Peace Bus and its activities to the SummerFood Service Program of the Allegheny Department of Human Services. Again this past summer (2011) the Peace Bus made thirteen (13) visits to sites throughout Allegheny County (see below) with 325 children enjoying arts and crafts, outdoor games and storytelling. The bus also made five recurring visits to Angora Gardens in White Oak. Thanks to Shannon Lugaila and Ann Flaherty of the MAPS Program for putting together well planned, interesting activities for the Peace Bus.
