April is Child Abuse Prevention Month!
To raise awareness and support prevention:
Plant a pin wheel garden for the month of April.
Wear Blue EVERY FRIDAY in APRIL.
SAFE SLEEP items are available upon request.
Sleep sacks in sizes: Newborn, small, and medium.
We know providing these tools can make safe sleep protocols more accessible to families. We are here to help!

We will schedule a NO COST check for safety!
Mandated Reporter Training is available through MDHHS.

Michigan Child Protection Law requires mandated reporters who have reasonable cause to suspect child abuse or neglect to make an immediate oral report to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) – Centralized Intake (855-444- 3911), followed by a written report within 72 hours OR create a report through the Michigan Online Reporting System (MORS).

The CAPE Council encourages infant safe sleep for your baby or any baby in your care by donating infant safe sleep sacks to every baby born at McLaren Northern Michigan and Munson Charlevoix, including education for parents and caregivers.
